Our Story

Growing – and making – great wine is a hands-on labour of love; an intimate relationship between people, vines and terroir.

As noble as this pursuit may be, the winemaker cannot consume all that she produces. We connect wineries with markets in dozens of countries around the world, ensuring that we add value to each step in the process.

We make it easy and effective for the hundreds of importers we deal with around the world to procure – and sell – the products of our winery partners.

The wineries, similarly, are able to maintain a depth of relationship with numerous markets that they would not be able to achieve alone.

We opened our business in 2003. Where we are now, by every measurement possible, is a testimony to our professionalism and attention to detail.

Switched on, hands on

We make sure that at least one of our team members travels to each market a minimum of twice a year to perform in-store tastings, host wine dinners and do general trade visits. We encourage representatives from our wineries to do the same.

Attention to detail

We’re physically present in both the winelands and the markets, so we’re able to simultaneously look out for the best interests of all parties.

Diversity is our strength

We select only the best wineries that each wine-growing region in South Africa has to offer.

An excellent product

We have chosen good terroir and identity wines that are internationally recognized and have a global distribution network in place.

We have a wealth of experience

We export to 25 countries around the world via more than 85 importers/distributors and major national retailers.

Thinking ahead

We are actively involved with the winemaking process and we constantly stimulate our winemakers to add new and innovative wines and developments to their ranges.

Quality control

The estates we represent are all privately owned and use their own fruit. This means that consistency in quality can be assured.

In it for the long term

We are realistic about the effort it takes to sell wines in the different markets – we keep an eye on the bigger picture.
